Milan Eats: Lunch menu at Ristorantino Borgese

Milan Eats: Lunch menu at Ristorantino Borgese

A lot of people think that eating in Milan is expensive, but I came across a lovely neighborhood restaurant near the Tortona area where we were staying.

They had a few different options for a delicious, reasonably priced lunch set menu.

I basically had no idea what the different dishes were, so I asked the proprietor to choose for me. She chose trofie zucchine zafferano, which I now understand is this twisty pasta with saffron and zucchini. It was so delicious! When she put it down, she said, "NO CHEESE! It is better without the cheese!" Probably knows how outside of Italy (and Bologna I guess) people put Parmesan on everything. I didn't want this dish to end.

Pork loin with salt and myrtle (?) and olive oil and pepper. With potatoes. So simple and good!

Plus water and coffee to round out the meal. All for €10!
