I Could Live Here: Austin
Everyone's said that Austin is a great place to be - and I have to agree! We didn't do any sightseeing really, but just sort of "hung out" for the day and a half we were here. People were pretty friendly and pretention-free, and it just seemed to have a nice pace of life. I feel like I really could live here for real.
Surfing the net at Jo's Coffee.
Brunch at Moonshine: on this plate you see mini bagels with smoked salmon spread, chicken fried steak with chipotle gravy, cornflake fried chicken, quiche, corned beef hash, green chili grits, broccoli and cheese casserole, mashed sweet potatoes. And this plate only represented half of the buffet stations!
We went out last night to a fun bar/club Rain in the Warehouse District. The hotel front desk pointed us in this direction; they were very knowledgeable about both where to go out as well as where to have brunch the next day.
We also went to the Library Bar on 6th Street, the main drag for bars.
