Why driving Westbound makes more sense
I just get happier and happier the further west I get in this road trip. If I were to do it the other way around, I would enjoy seeing the sights along the way, but I just don't think I'd feel this happy. Of course, I'm from California originally, so it feels like going home. But going Westbound seems to make sense for other reasons:
1) It's the American narrative, moving from the old East to wild West.
2) It's about progress: new ideas and thinking
3) The New Economy of computers and internet vs. the Rust Belt and Old Industry
4) You unfurl your wings from the cramped space of the East into the vastness of the West
5) It's the path the sun travels, from sea to shining sea
Any other thoughts?
