Hodo Soy Beanery Tour
Though everyone was very friendly here, and the founder himself was the presenter, this was one of the more disappointing tours I've been on. We spent the whole time in a meeting room, watched a 6 min video, and had Q&A. We just looked at the production facility through a window, and didn't even get an explanation of what was going on.
Hodo is a darling of San Francisco chefs at the moment. You'll see Hodo Soy on menus the same way you'll see Prather Ranch or Niman Ranch. One of the new CEOs is Mr. Scharffenberger.
The redeeming part of the tour was being able to eat a bunch of their products. Though I have to say, pne of their selling points, that it's made from "buttery, rich" soy milk is a negative for me. It's far too rich for me.
