Granada Eats: La Cueva
For dinner, I knew I wanted a sit-down restaurant to finally rest my feet, and also not contend with service protocol I was not familiar with. I came across a couple of these La Cueva restaurants, and decided to give one a try as the pricing was decent and the restaurants looked nice inside.
I looked online later at the restaurant's website, and looks like it's actually a chain with branches in other cities like Madrid!
Before my meal came, I was treated to complimentary selection of cold cuts! The service here was nice overall, not as warm and friendly as Taberna Salinas in Córdoba, but nice and professional.
I decided to try flamenquín a second time, to see if I would like it better than the one I had at Taberna Salinas. This version had cheese inside, so that automatically made it more most and a bit more savory. The vegetables were kind of a soggy mess, but I was thankful for vegetables, period. The potatoes were not very crispy, but I think the fried potatoes in Spain tend towards that direction. Overall, I'm glad I got to try another rendition of flamenquín!
