McDonald's Burger by a 2 Michelin Star Chef
Flying through an airport with a McDonald's calls for treating myself to a burger, french fries, and/or McNuggets. And this time, flying from Madrid to Marrakech, I decided to try out the "Grand McExtreme de McDonald's Ramón Freixa" (that is the actual name).
Every now and then McDonald's in Spain partners with a celebrity chef, and this time they partnered with Dani Garcia and Ramón Freixa to create one sandwich each. Ramón Freixa has not one but two Michelin Stars, so I was very curious to see what he could come up with!
The "Grand McExtreme de McDonald's Ramón Freixa" has two beef patties, crunchy onions, "iberian cheese" and a special sauce... supposedly with miso in it. I guess that's what makes it "chef-made"? It wasn't bad, but nothing extraordinary either... I'd rather have a Big Mac to be honest.
