Trip Report: SFO-JFK on UA p.s. part I
With the United-Continental merger, I was afraid that UA's SFO-JFK and LAX-JFK p.s. service would go away. p.s. service is where they operate 757s with angled lie flat seats in first class, international business seats in business, and a small section with Economy Plus.
In your departure city, you get to use the Red Carpet Club. SFO wasn't too crowded for my afternoon flight.
I had some Pepperidge Farm cookies and Cheez-It party mix, along with an acai-pomegranate beverage with orange juice.
And here is the lovely seat for the next five and a half hours, with the super plush international business white duvet.
The flight attendants offer personal media players, which are even better than old business class screens because you can start and stop movies as you like. The noise canceling headsets also seem to work better than on the international flights.
I was surprised that they even offered eyeshades and earplugs on this daytime flight. The earplugs came in handy for sleeping in NY.
