Trip Report: SFO-JFK on UA p.s. part II
The food in p.s. business class was quite nice - I later discovered that the menu was the same as in first class.
I started with the "featured cocktail" of a pre-mixed sangria.
Appetizers were a salad with cucumbers and tomato slices, and smoked salmon wrapped around asparagus spears and marinated cucumbers. The asparagus was well prepared - cooked just enough to maintain a slight crunch.
The entree choices were a bit uninspiring: chicken, white lasagna, and vegetarian chili in a bread bowl. The lasagna was first to run out, then the chicken, with the remaining passengers getting the chili. I got my first choice of the chicken, which was decent.
A made to order ice cream sundae was next, with Breyers chocolate and vanilla ice cream. I had mine topped with caramel sauce, walnuts, and whipped cream. The ice cream itself was a bit icy unfortunately.
Partway through they flight, a snack basket came around with bananas, mini Clif bars, walnut and almond mix, popchips, and chocolate. I was pleased by the healthy selection of snacks!
Finally, warm chocolate chip cookies were served. I did miss the wine glasses of milk that the flight attendants sometimes prepare as accompaniment.
All in all, a very relaxing and pampered flight!
