First CSA Box!
We got our first CSA box last week. Finally decided to sign up for it, primarily for the convenience. Busy as we are with school, it's hard to find time to go and buy vegetables. And without a car, grocery shopping can be quite the chore.
So we signed up with Farm Fresh To You, which offers home delivery (not just pickup from a central point in the neighborhood). Our landlord gets deliveries from them, and has been happy with them, so I didn't spend much time looking at other options.
Right on our doorstep this box appeared. We signed up for the "Regular" box with every other week delivery.
And inside were the following:
- 1 bunch carrots
- 1 bunch spinach
- 1 bunch radicchio
- 4 fuyu persimmons (on the website listed as hachiya)
- 6 apples
- 1 green pepper
- 1 big onion
- 1 butternut squash
- 1 bunch rapini (replacement for cilantro which they said they ran out of)
- 2 bunches celery
- 1 bunch rainbow chard (replacement for kale)
- 2 big leeks
I'll be sharing what I cook with this delivery!
