Best of Munich Eats: Der Pschorr (overall)
I thought this was the most pleasant experience overall. Perhaps because we were actually shown to a table by the host, a service ritual I'm more used to vs. trying to find seats at communal tables. The interior is modern, and all of the tabletop elements were made of felt (e.g. the coasters).
I had this gigantic leberknodel, or liver dumpling. Unlike any of the other dumplings I had this trip, this was light and airy. I quite liked it, although the beef broth it was sitting in was rather salty.
I tried my mom's schweinshaxe, or roast pork knuckle, and it was the most flavorful roast pork we had, with the best texture. They make a big deal of the farms from where they source their meats, and I think they take better care of the food here overall compared to the other beer halls and breweries.
