Best of Munich Eats: Weisses Brauhaus (starch)
Eating in Munich is all about the breweries and beer halls, and Weisses Brauhaus was the first we went to.
In regards to the blog post title, it isn't that I ate the best potato pancakes in all of Munich, it's that it was the favorite part of my meal here and the best starch of all of my meals during this trip. See, all of these traditional meals have a protein, a starch, and a vegetable (usually cabbage). All of the other meals had a flour or potato dumpling which usually didn't taste like much to me. The potato pancake at least has some taste!
The Schneider Weisse, "refreshing like a dance in the summer breeze" according to the menu, was tasty, but the Scheider's Aventinus beer roast "breast of pork" (aka pork belly) was bland and the skin was so chewy like plastic.
Service and atmosphere were pleasant. The waitress didn't get impatient while we took a look at our first Munich menu.
