Trip Report: SFO-LAX-LHR
Back to Europe, with a stopover in London. SFO-LAX was another uneventful flight, with a beverage served along with the crackers and cheese I took from the SFO United Club. At LAX, I visited their United Club, which was quite pleasant with different seating areas, a mix of armchairs and cafe-type seating.
Snack options were the same as usual, of course. A buffet of packaged goods.
On board LAX-LHR, it was my usual water with lemon. I'm glad United still has these real lemon slices in Economy.
Dinner was a choice of chicken or beef, and I chose the beef. I was pretty happy with the beef, because it turned out to be a kind of pot roast of not meager potion, and came with a lot of vegetables and mashed potatoes. Interestingly, we were served both a "Double Chocolate Crunch Bar" as well as a vanilla ice cream sandwich. Two desserts! The ice cream sandwich was fun to eat, but it had that highly processed taste and consistency of a lot of extra ingredients added to achieve a certain consistency and stability.
After some sleep, breakfast was some honeydew and cantaloupe cubes, and a dry red jam-filled pastry. I can never tell what the flavor is meant to be with these pastries.
